This painting series represents purtipulawa, the flowers that emerge across Country around Papulankutja after rain. In these works, Adelisa Lane expresses the seasonal flowering of Country and the transformation that follows rainfall.

Rather than depicting individual plants, the paintings convey the overall feeling of Country becoming alive with colour and abundance during the wet season, when flowers spread widely across sandhills, rocky areas and open plains.
