Ilurrpa is important Country near Papulankutja (Blackstone), associated with Kuniya Tjukurrpa, the ancestral python story. Kuniya travelled through this Country, leaving important places in the landscape, including rockholes and rock formations.

One significant feature at Ilurrpa is a large rock known as the Kuniya egg. Families have travelled to and cared for this Country over generations, and there is inma (ceremony) associated with the story.
