Nekeisha was adopted by her aunty, Narelle Holland as a young baby. They lived in Blackstone going to school util she was 12 years old.

Nekeisha met her partner when the family moved to Mantamaru. She now has a son called Rickullum and continues to live in Mantamaru with her family.

Nekeisha started painting in 2010 when Papulankutja Artists established their own art centre building. She paints the important stories of the region and her community – Kungkarrangkalpa (the Seven Sisters) and Tjitji Kutjarra (Two Boys) which is the Tjurkurrpa story for Mantamaru where she lives.
