Janice Stevens

Janice was born in Kalgoorlie and grew up there going to school. She moved To Coonana, a community between Kalgoorlie and Laverton when she was 17. In 2007 Janice met her partner Rex Mitchell and moved to Blackstone to live with him. Janice married into the Mitchell family who are proud custodians of the country surrounding Blackstone. Janice has 4 sons and one daughter, her youngest two boys live with her in Blackstone. She has 3 grandchildren.

Janice is a thinker. She loves to imagine and create ideas of her paintings in her head and on paper before she begins a new work. She never rushes her work, taking her time and enjoying the meditation of painting.
